Biogas and Digestion

Anaerobic digestion is a biological process during which microorganisms break down biodegradable material in the absence of oxygen. This process produces two valuable products: 1. Methane (biogas) which can be combusted for electrical generation and heat and 2. a valuable nutrient rich byproduct that can be utilized as a fertilizer.

IWR supports this growing industry with operational knowledge, feedstock sourcing, process expertise, and byproduct utilization. We also help with equipment sourcing and install guidance including filtration, dewatering, biogas coupling, and pump technologies.
